The Dallas Cowboys went 13-3 last year, earning the top seed in the NFC playoffs. Unfortunately, their season ended when they lost to the Green Bay Packers in a divisional playoffs shootout. The Cowboys had the second best record in the NFL but couldn’t finish with a Super Bowl win. This reminded me a lot of the Carolina Panthers last year. The Panthers went 15-1 and had the best record in the entire league. Unlike the Cowboys, they cruised through the playoffs. Then, in the Super Bowl, they lost to the Broncos. Many people expected them to win the Super Bowl this year, now that Peyton Manning had retired and there was nothing left to hold them back. Then, they went 6-10, were the worst team in the NFC South, and the fourth worst in the NFC. The Dallas Cowboys lost arguably the best quarterback duo of all time, as Tony Romo retired, but Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot are not rookies anymore. They haven’t made that many big moves over the offseason, and you have to wonder if they will be that much better. I think that Ezekiel Elliot will still be the best running back in the NFL, and the Cowboys will be major contenders. Still, it’s hard to bet against the Patriots.

Will the Cowboys be good? Comment your thoughts.
